Each year we at the Sussex Heart Charity organise a sponsored walk from Brighton Marina to the Peace statue Hove, and back again to the Marina.(5 Miles in total) Many of the walkers that take part are Cardiac patients that have either had cardiac surgery, suffered a heart attack or any other cardiac events.
This will be the 19th year of the walk which has since the first walk in 1992 raised over £250,000. for this charity. Each year we have seen the numbers of participants to grow, with many walkers coming back each year and bringing along family members and friends to support them.
This year’s walk will be on Sunday 9th May starting at 10:00am outside the Rendezvous Casino at Brighton Marian and will be started by The Mayor of Brighton & Hove (Councillor Anne Norman)
