Joanne is running the Brighton Half Marathon on February 19th 2012 in memory of her very dear friend Will Pitcher, and in doing so Joanne will be raising money for the Sussex Heart Charity Joanne said,
“I am running the Brighton Half Marathon to raise money for the Sussex Heart Charity, in memory of Will Pitcher who sadly passed away on March 8th 2011 of a suspected heart attack. Will was a best friend to me, and indeed many others. He was a beautiful, big hearted man always with a big smile on his face. He was adored by everyone who knew him and his passing at the tender age of 29 was a shock to friends, family, work colleagues and anyone who had had the pleasure of meeting him. My friends recently took part in the London to Brighton bike ride to raise money for the charity in his memory but I cannot ride a bike! I therefore decided to put my passion for running to good use instead. I hope I can make him proud.”
